Welcome to Coming Abstractions

My paintings hold a quiet sense of time, memory, and simplicity — and are affectionately called my “coming abstractions.” Many of the designs are rooted in memories from my grandparents’ farm, where life was humble, hands-on, and deeply connected to the land.

Current work includes vessel forms, organic shapes, tabletop scenes, and an ongoing series of cardboard paintings created on recycled Amazon boxes. These understated symbols evoke memories of family while suggesting stillness and calm, expressed through soft forms, layered textures, and intuitive marks. The process remains organic and imperfect, guided by feeling rather than rules.
